ALUMNAE BURSARIES

The Rossiter / Irving / Robins Alumnae Bursary / Loan
Is available to Royal Jubilee Hospital School of Nursing Graduates.  Awards are not contingent on income.  Proof of registration at a recognized university or college and proof of completion are obligatory.  Awards are disbursed any time during the year.
The Bursary/Loan provides a bursary plus an interest-free loan.  The loan portion is payable one year after the completion of the degree.  Interest from the Bursary Fund Capital, plus loan repayment, provide for future applicants; therefore repayment is a vital link in the provision of bursaries.  Repayment by installment is perfectly acceptable.

The Vancouver Island Health Authority Bursary
This bursary is disbursed once yearly through the VIHA Scholarship Committee.  RJH Graduates employed by VIHA and meeting the general criteria may obtain applications from Human Resources.  Obtain written support from your Department Manager and submit before the June deadline.

RJH Noreen Robins Bequest
Bursaries under this bequest are available to graduates and children of graduates from:

    1.  The University of Victoria
For students enrolled in the Undergraduate and Graduate Programs at the School of Nursing.  Preference will be given to former RJH School of Nursing Graduates or their children or grandchildren.  Distance Education students who meet the criteria are also eligible.  This award, disbursed annually in January is contingent on proof of need.

    2.  Registered Nurses Foundation of BC
For students enrolled in basic nursing education programs and/or Registered Nurses in post basic nursing educational programs.  Preference will be given to RJH School of Nursing Graduates or their children (proof required eg, copy of graduation certificate and family information).  Restricted to BC residents. Awards are not contingent on income and are disbursed annually in September.
